John Pereira, M.D - Medical Consultant

John is a resident radiation oncologist who was also trained as an electrical/biomedical engineer and economist. He created one of the first computational models for wind and solar power for the Ontario government, developed in silco and in vivo models to design better dental appliances at the University of Toronto, developed software to optimize cardiovascular stents for heart disease in Belgium, and was a founding member of a startup to harvest, culture, and transplant stem cells for blood cancers. He also co-founded the #RadOnc online community for patients and providers interested in improving oncology care and writes policy for the World Medical Association and World Health Organization.

Andrew Lambe Ph.D -
Software Engineer
Andrew is a software engineer for a mature startup in the artificial intelligence space. Previously, he earned a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Toronto and was postdoctoral fellow at Polytechnique Montréal and York University. He has received multiple national scholarships for his research at the intersection of applied mathematics, computer science, and engineering design and is the lead author of several peer-reviewed journal publications.

Jason Kim​​, Ph.D - Digital Media Expert
​
Jason is a systems thinker and learner who is equally at home in dusty antiquarian bookstores and tinkering with data using R and Python. He's spent all of his life working for mission-driven organizations and businesses in the media, health, and education industries. He was also an award-winning instructor of American history and ethnic studies, won 18 different academic fellowships and honors, and has taught at the University of California, Berkeley and St. Mary’s College. He was a key contributor to two health-related ventures, one which attempted to solve what the World Health Organization has called the "largest mass poisoning in human history," and another which teaches mindfulness and stress resilience in vulnerable communities and school districts throughout the United States. He has also worked for or advised many multi-million dollar media companies in all things digital marketing and retail analytics.

Wayne Steinberg - Experienced Lawyer​​

Wayne is a corporate and commercial lawyer, with extensive experience in international franchise practice, working in the technology industry with a Toronto area franchisor for the past 15 years. Prior to then, he worked as in house counsel in a travel and hospitality training company. He also worked extensively in a real estate practice with several Toronto area law firms.
